Kate Powers is a nurse practitioner with dual certifications as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Kate earned her Acute Care NP degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She further advanced her clinical expertise, earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Family NP degrees from University of Texas at Arlington. For the first 10 years of her career, Kate has worked as a nurse practitioner in Trauma Surgery, Emergency General Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care across the state of Texas. Her dual certification allows her to provide comprehensive care across a wide spectrum of patients, from those requiring acute care in hospital settings to individuals in need of primary care. Kate is excited to return to her roots in far West Texas and reestablish with the community.
